I am a busy professional with two children, a dog, and a husband who works a crazy schedule - but I still want my home to feel like my retreat.

And I think you do too.

There is this idea that having a beautiful, functional home is only possible in certain seasons of life… once your kids are old enough to not make messes (which, let’s face it - is when they move out), once your pets have crossed the rainbow bridge, or once you have more money. I believe that everyone deserves to have a home they love - and in every season of your life. Good design improves lives and having a beautiful space to come home to is a form of self-care.

Maybe you have no idea where to start? Maybe you feel totally overwhelmed? Maybe you just don’t have the time or energy to make all the decisions that go into a home project?

I can help.

Whether you just need a professional to get you off on the right foot or would rather I take care of every detail, I have a solution that will help you realize the home of your dreams.

If you want to be involved in the process but with a professional to help guide you and give their recommendation, then you’ve come to the right place.

I help homeowners create beautiful, functional spaces within their homes through communication, education, and good design choices.

5 Things I believe about Design:

  1. If you love it, do it.

  2. Sustainable design is an ethical and social responsibility.

  3. Mixing high and low end pieces is key.

  4. Function and aesthetics are equally important.

  5. Everyone deserves to have a home they love.

Who am I?

Brittany Tharp, Owner and Principal Designer

After teaching elementary and middle school for eight years, I took some time off to stay home with my young children and realized that I had no desire to return to the classroom - at least not as a teacher. After some soul searching and conversations, I realized a new passion - helping others create beautiful spaces within their homes. With the support of my husband, I returned to school and earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Design, with a concentration in Sustainable Design from Rocky Mountain College of Interior Design.

I have worked with clients across the United States, including in Texas, Virginia, and Connecticut and even outside of the US in Canada. I believe that everyone should have access to beautiful spaces and that interiors should be uniquely designed with the user in mind. I prefer bright, comfortable spaces filled with natural light and elements and am often inspired by nature and design with sustainability in mind.

I currently reside in Moseley, Virginia with my husband, our two daughters, and our crazy Shiba dog. When I am not designing, I enjoy cooking, gardening, travel and spending time with my family.

“I didn’t even want to spend time at my new house until Brittany came and turned it into a home. I literally couldn’t have done it without her. Lifesaver.”
