But, doing all of that when you’re just trying to get a rough estimate can be a bit overwhelming, so I created some pricing guides for clients to help educate them on what it truly costs to decorate a space in their homes using a good, better, best model. Now, are these hard and fast rules? No, absolutely not! There are definitely times you can find a quality piece for under what I have listed and there are times where it just doesn’t make sense to spend that much (i.e. nice rug with little kids and dogs… I’ll pass until everyone is a bit older!). These are general guidelines based on my experience with how much things cost. It’s also important to note that you can mix and match - let’s say you want the best couch… but maybe throw pillows aren’t as important. It’s okay to purchase some “best” quality and some “good.”

Finally - and this is BIG - just because a product fits in a certain price range, does NOT mean it is actually that quality! For example, there is a very big furniture store (not naming names because I don’t want to be sued) that likes to promote themselves as super high end, best quality furniture… and when we take a look at how they actually manufacturer their products… well, their quality is on par with IKEA (which is fine except their prices are insanely high for what you’re getting).
